Kitchen Refresh for the New Year!
It's that week between Christmas and NYE that I am so thankful I have off to reset and prepare for another great year! We organize and play and relax and it's just the best.
I've been working through the rooms in my house and now it's time for the kitchen! I do all of these things pretty often in phases, but it's especially nice to do them all at once. :)
1. Cleaning out the refrigerator - I will go through each item and organize and clean all the shelves. I try to do this as often as possible so this task isn't as daunting as it may seem.
2. Clean the freezer - same as above
3. Clean the inside of our June oven, which is our workhorse.
4. Clean out the filters of the dishwasher and run the clean setting.
5. Scrub the sink and use baking soda and vinegar on the drains.
6. Dust inside and out of all the cabinets
7. Organize and declutter drawers - get rid of anything you didn't use this year. I got a new set of drawer organizers I'm excited to use in the large catch-all drawers!
8. I'm going to downsize some cookbooks this year, too. I haven't done that in awhile and the collection is getting large.
9. Buy organizing bins for the pantry cabinet to organize snacks. We didn't really have snacks around until I started sending Charlotte's lunch to school and now they are out of control.
10. Wooden cutting board maintenance
11. Of course I will also do all the daily tasks such as clean dishes, wipe counters, sweep floors, etc!
Since we're food and kitchen focused over here, I thought this might be helpful to share! Happy New Year!

Kristen
