Back to School Meal Planning

It's August! School season is almost here. I don't want summer to end but I'm in full prep mode because back to school around here also means a new baby is coming soon!

I'm heavily leaning on my meal planner to ensure we have plenty of food for snacks and lunches and all the things during this time.

Savor has pages in the front for lists of all your family favorites. I use this to keep track of lunch ideas and easy snacks to make. Having less to think about is going to save us during this crazy time.

I learned that packing a lunch does not have to be hard. We do not use fancy cookie cutters on fruit around here. However, I really try to not send the same thing every day...even though that is so easy to do.

I make lists of fruits, veggies, "snacks", and mains (aka protein rich) and then use a rotation. I think variety and exposure to different foods is so important and this helps when we get into a rut.

I am sending 1 lunch and 2 snacks a day for 2 kids so I'm hoping this autopilot method will help me streamline the process and use my mental energy somewhere else!

I hope this helps you! Be sure to grab a meal planner to help you simplify feeding your people. :)
